The 20th Century started on 1 January 1901, not 1900. It ended on 31 December 2000. Similarly, the 21st Century started on 1 January 2001, not 2000. So 1st January 2000 was still in the 20th Century.
The Gold Broad – Cromwell’s 20 Shilling Coin -The Gold Broad was only issued in 1656 and was denominated as 20 shillings, marking it as an ancestor of the guinea and sovereign. In 1656 there was no Monarch; Oliver Cromwell was Lord Protector and the parliament was the Second Protectorate.

Gold Proof Megalosaurus 2020 UK 50p coin -The 2020 Dinosaur Megalosaurus Gold Proof Fifty Pence Piece is the first coin to be issued as part of the "Dinosauria" range by the Royal Mint and is the first time a Dinosaur has featured on a UK coin. This proof coin is made of 22 carat gold.
2020 Queen Gold Proof Two Ounce £200 Coin -Following on from the launch of the Royal Mint Music Legends Collection featuring the British Rock bank Queen, an exclusive Gold Proof 2oz coin is also available. The £200 piece is made of 24 carat gold (0.999 fine) and weighs 62.2 grams. Just 53 pieces were minted, the same number of hits Queen had in the UK charts.
Peter Rabbit Says Goodbye -The Royal Mint have released the 2020 50 Pence Coin - Peter Rabbit 50p. The Royal Mint states that this is the last time Peter Rabbit will be on a 50p coin. Also, it's the only Beatrix Potter coin that will be seen in 2020 and it won't be in circulation.
Second Coin in the Dinosauria Collection released: Iguanodon 50p -In 1822 Mary Ann Mantell, while out walking with her husband Gideon, noticed a large tooth on the side of the road and couldn't recognise it as any animal she had seen before. It was the first discovery of the Iguanodon. This is the second coin in the Dinosauria Collection.
