The 2026 HMS Beagle Gold Proof £2The 2026 Beagle Two Pound gold proof is a 916.6 fine gold coin which commemorates the 200th anniversary of the voyage of the HMS Beagle. The Beagle carried Charles Darwin on a five-year voyage (1831–1836) around the world while researching his ground-breaking work into evolution.
The coin is available as BU, Silver Proof and Gold Proof.
The Reverse, by William Webb, shows the HMS Beagle at sea, with a border of animals that were studied by Darwin. The coin was created in collaboration with Royal Museums Greenwich.
The edge Inscription is 'VOYAGE OF THE BEAGLE' in fine milled incuse edge lettering.
