Following on from the launch of the Royal Mint Music Legends Collection featuring the British Rock bank Queen, an exclusive Gold Proof 2oz coin is also available.
The £200 piece is made of 24 carat gold (0.999 fine) and weighs 62.2 grams.
Just 53 pieces were minted, the same number of hits Queen had in the UK charts.
Queen was formed in London way back in 1970 and their line up of Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), John Deacon (bass guitar), and Roger Taylor (drums, vocals) have rightfully become music legends. In 1975, “Bohemian Rhapsody” brought them international success and over the years Queen have sold literally hundreds of millions of records.
