Each coin has the Queen’s signature, which is a first for UK coins.

2022 Five Pounds – 100th Anniversary of the Discovery of Tutankhamun’s Tomb -In 1922 the British archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter discovered the best preserved Pharaonic tomb ever found in the Valley of the Kings - Tutankhamun's Tomb. Tutankhamun reigned in the 18th Dynasty, around 1332 – 1323BC. He was a boy King, being only 19 when he died.
