Silver Denarius of Emperor Galba, struck around July 68AD and January 69AD. Diameter 18mm, weighs 3.51g.

The Obverse shows the laureate head of Galba facing right. Legend is "IMP SER GALBA CAESAR AVG P M".

The Reverse shows Salus (the Roman goddess of safety and well-being), standing and facing left with right foot on a globe, holding rudder and sacrificing from patera over a lighted and garlanded altar to left. Legend is "SALVS GEN HVMANI".
