The 2020 Five Pound Coin - Tower of London: The Royal MintThe Royal Mint was housed at the Tower of London from 1279 until 1812. In those days it was often referred to as The Tower Mint. This coin is the third coin to be released in the 2020 Tower of London Collection.
The Reverse, by Tim Noad, shows an image of a long cross penny, the type of coin that would have been made there during the time of the Tower Mint. In the background is one of the window arches of the Tower of London, a theme that runs through the 2020 Tower of London Collection.
