Jacqueline Kennedy was the wife of 35th President, John F. Kennedy. The coin was issued in 2015.
Jacqueline Lee Bouvier was born on July 28, 1929. She married John Kennedy in 1953. She was popular, well educated and was regarded as an international fashion icon. Five years after JFK's death she married Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis. She died on May 19, 1994, aged 64.

Following the same schedule as the Presidential $1 Coins, the First Spouse gold half-ounce $10 coins honour the first spouse of each President. Where the President does not have a spouse, then an image of Liberty from that time period is used on the Obverse. Images from the life of the Presidential term are used on the Reverse.The program started in 2007. Each coin is ½oz of 0.999 gold and available as a bullion or as a Proof coin. They were minted at the West Point Mint.
