The Peace Dollar is a coin of the United States of America minted between 1921 and 1935 (actually 1921-1928, then 1934-1935). The designer was Anthony de Francisci who won a competition to find the design. The Obverse shows Liberty and the Reverse is a bald eagle holding an olive branch.The 'Peace' was to commemorate the peace after World War I. To recognise the 100th anniversary of the Peace Dollar, the coin will be issued in 2021 as a commemorative.
