George V

1923 Florin – George V - The florin is a two-shilling coin. In 1923 the silver content was 50%. Reverse shows crowned cruciform shields separated by sceptres in the angles.

1933 Wreath Crown – George V - 1933, 'wreath' design. The wreath crown design was used between 1927-36 (none in 1935 when the 'Rocking Horse' design was used for the King's 25th Jubilee).

1936 Half Crown - This was the last half-crown of George V's reign. The Reverse shows a quartered shield of arms with crowned royal cyphers each side by George Kruger Gray. Silver content is 50%.

1915 Gold Sovereign – London – George V - King George V’s portrait by Bertram Mackennal can be seen on the obverse of the coin. 20,295,280 sovereigns were struck in London in 1915.

1919 Gold Sovereign Canada – George V - A small 'C' just above the date indicates the sovereign was produced at the Ottawa Mint, Canada. Mintage was low at 135,957.

1928 Halfcrown – George V - Silver halfcrown of King George V. Fourth coinage (1927-1936). The Reverse, by George Kruger Gray, shows a quartered shield of arms with crowned royal cyphers each side.

1918 KN Penny – George V - The Kings Norton 1918KN Penny, minted by the Kings Norton Metal Co in Birmingham. It is the same design as other 1918 pennies with the exception of the 'KN' mint mark.

1911 Gold Sovereign London - The first Gold Sovereign of King George V saw a massive mintage of over 30 million coins. No letter above the date indicates the sovereign was produced in London.

1912 H Penny – George V - The 1912H Penny, minted by Heaton & Sons in Birmingham. It is the same design as other 1912 pennies with the exception of the 'H' mint mark.

1929 Halfcrown - The Reverse shows a quartered shield of arms with crowned royal cyphers each side by George Kruger Gray.
