Charles II
1684 Farthing – Charles II (Tin) -Charles II Tin farthing with copper plug. The coin is dated on the edge. The reason this was made in tin rather than copper (which was used in previous years) was said to help the tin mining industry.
1674 Penny – Charles II -Silver Penny from the reign of King Charles II, dated 1674. Struck by the Royal Mint (at the Tower Mint) in London.
1676 Halfcrown – Charles II Fourth Bust -The Reverse, by the famous engraver John Roettier, shows a crowned cruciform coat of arms with Garter star in centre and Royal cipher (interlocking C's) in quarters.
1677 Half-Crown – Charles II Fourth Bust -The 1677 Half-Crown is an early milled silver half-crown of King Charles II. Fourth bust. The Reverse is by the famous engraver John Roettier.
1660-1662 Groat Charles II. Third Issue. -Charles II Groat (4 pence coin) minted 1660-1662 at the Tower Mint (Royal Mint, London). Third Issue. "IIII" is a mark of value showing four pence.
1663 Crown – Charles II (First Bust, 3354) -1663 also saw two pattern coins by Thomas Simon. Known as the "Petition" crown and the "Reddite' crown. They are extremely rare and could fetch more £500,000.
1660-1669 Threepence – Charles II -Silver threepence of King Charles II. Undated, struck between 1660 and 1669 at the Tower Mint in London (Royal Mint), as after that the coins were dated. Hammered.
