Royal Mint Collections and Series

These are Collections from the Royal Mint and other companies.

  • Beatrix Potter. Beatrix Potter is known for the Peter Rabbit stories and the coins from the Royal Mint have been very popular.
  • Chinese Lunar Year. The Royal Mint's Shengxiào Collection, named after the Chinese zodiac, was introduced by the Royal Mint in 2014. Each year a Lunar animal of the Chinese zodiac representing that year is shown.
  • Great Engravers. The Great Engravers Collections from the Royal Mint celebrates the artists that actually design and engrave the coin, like Benedetto Pistrucci and Thomas Simon.
  • Harry Potter. There are a few Harry Potter collections. The Harry Potter Black Lake range is available as 50p in BU, BU Colour, Silver proof and gold proof, as well this 1oz Silver Proof £2 coin.
  • Ice Age Giants. Ice Age Giants is a collection from the Royal Mint that features creatures from the Ice Age.
  • Innovation in Science. The Royal Mint's Innovation in Science series celebrates leading scientists and their discoveries.
  • Music Legends. The Royal Mint's Music Legends celebrates some of the greatest artists in the history of music.
  • Myths and Legends. Myths and Legends is a collection from the Royal Minth that features characters from British Folklore. Coins may be proof or bullion.
  • Quintessentially British A-Z 10p Coins. The Quintessentially British A-Z 10p Coins is a series of 26 ten-pence coins each with a letter of the alphabet showing something of British life.
  • Six Decades of 007. The Six Decades of 007 collection is a series of seven coins, each celebrating a decade of James Bond 007 film. The coins are released as BU, silver, gold, denominated as £2, £5 and higher, plus bullion coins for investors. Coins released in 2023 and 2024.
  • Star Wars. Royal Mint's Star wars and Star Wars™ Iconic Vehicles collection, which consists of the Millennium Falcon, TIE Fighter, X-Wing, and the Death Star II.
  • The Snowman. The Snowman coins are usually issued every year around Christmas, as 50p coins, BU, silver and gold. Often colourised.
