1644-45 Gold Crown Charles I Obverse 2706 RM 1644-45 Gold Crown – Charles I (Tower Mint under Parliament) - A circulating gold crown from the reign of King Charles I, from around 1644-1645 when the civil war raged and the Tower Mint in London was now controlled by Parliament.
1671 Crown Charles II Obverse 1671 Crown – Charles II - After the execution of Charles I in 1649, rule passed to the Commonwealth. Charles II returned in 1660 and the British Monarchy was restored. The Obverse shows the second bust of Charles II.
