The 2026 Concorde Silver 50p Proof50 pence coin released by the Royal Mint in January 2026 to commemorate 50 years of the first commercial flight of the Concorde.
The English-French supersonic aircraft Concorde had a cruising speed of 1,350mph, twice the speed of sound. Concorde's fastest London to New York flight was 2 hours, 52 minutes, and 59 seconds. At that speed Concorde's body gets very hot and the aircraft would stretch in length by up to 10 inches!
The coin is available as BU, Silver Proof, Piedfort Silver Proof, Gold Proof and as a few sets.
The Reverse, by Osborne Ross, shows Concorde in flight with a side view and an overhead view. Below is the text "21 JANUARY 1976".

The Obverse is the portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings. Legend "CHARLES III D G REX F D 50 PENCE 2026".Limited Edition is 3,500 with a maximum mintage of 6,810.
