The Reverse, designed by Adolph A. Weinman, shows a high-relief version of the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal reverse of an eagle with a branch. The 'Pd' following the '1 oz' is the chemical symbol of Palladium.

The Obverse, also by Adolph A. Weinman, shows a a high-relief image of Winged Liberty that is used on the Mercury Dime. The mint mark 'W' is on the left, and on the lower right is the distinctive initials of Adolph A. Weinman.
