The third coin in the Royal Mint's Music Legends series was rock star David Bowie. Bowie was born in Brixton, London on 8 January 1947 and sold over 100 million records worldwide since 1962. He was known as a singer, songwriter and actor. He died in 2016.

The Reverse, by Jody Clark, shows an image of David Bowie.

This one-ounce coin is 999.9 fine gold with a diameter of 32.69mm and weight of 31.21g.

The coin is available as Cupro-Nickel BU (enclosed in four separate packages), and as limited editions half-ounce silver proof, one-ounce colourised silver proof, 1/10th oz gold, one-ounce gold proof, two-ounce gold proof and five-ounce gold proof.

The Obverse shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.

The mintage was limited to 400 coins.

Queen Elizabeth II issued many coins and was monarch during decimalisation. She married Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh in 1947 and had four children. Her eldest son succeeded the throne as King Charles III. House of Windsor.

Which Mint: The Royal Mint
