2019 50 Pence Coin - The Gruffalo2019 celebrated 20 years of the publication of the children's storybook The Gruffalo written by Julia Donaldson. The book sold over 13 million copies Worldwide and was turned into a film.
The Reverse was designed by Magic Light Pictures and shows an image of the The Gruffalo.
The Obverse is a portrait of Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.A colourised silver proof version and a gold proof version are also available.
