The 2014 First Spouse $10 Gold: 1923-1929 Grace Coolidge

Grace Coolidge was the wife of 30th President, Calvin Coolidge. This coin was released in 2014.

Grace Coolidge was born Grace Anna Goodhue on 3 January 1879 in Vermont. She married Calvin in 1905. She died on 8 July 1957, aged 78.

The Obverse shows a portrait of Mrs Coolidge. Sculptor: Phebe Hemphill, Designer: Joel Iskowitz.

The Reverse shows three hands, finger-spelling "USA" in American Sign Language, with the White House in the background. Sculptor: Jim Licaretz, Frank Morris.

Where the President does not have a spouse, then an image of Liberty from that time period is used on the Obverse. Images from the life of the Presidential term are used on the Reverse.

The program started in 2007. Each coin is ½oz of 0.999 gold and available as a bullion or as a Proof coin. They were minted at the West Point Mint.
