Shows the northeast slope of Mount Reynolds in the distance with a mountain goat climbing over the rocky slopes in the park’s high country. Inscriptions are GLACIER, MONTANA, 2011 and E PLURIBUS UNUM.

The Reverse was designed by Barbara Fox and engraved by Charles L. Vickers.

The America the Beautiful Quarters® Silver Proof Set series: The US Mint launched the series in 2010 to commemorate the most cherished National Parks and other National sites. Each year 5 quarters of different designs are minted and released as both Proof and Uncirculated. The series consists of 56 coins and ran from 2010 until 2021 inclusive.

Each obverse of the 2010 America the Beautiful Quarters shows John Flanagan’s 1932 portrait of George Washington. Each coin is 90% silver and weighs 6.25g with a diameter of 24.3mm (0.955 inches) and are available as Uncirculated or Proof. The edge is reeded. Coins are minted in either Philadelphia (P), Denver (D) or San Francisco (S).
Which Mint: US Mint
The United States Mint is part of the Department of the Treasury and is responsible for producing coinage for the United States. It has four coin-producing facilities in current use:

  • Philadelphia Mint, the largest facility. It was founded in 1792. It has a mint mark of 'P' although the early coins minted there do not carry a mint mark. The 'P' was added to most coins after 1980.
  • Denver Mint, Colorado. The mint started in 1906. The mint mark is 'D'.
  • San Francisco Mint Facility of the US Mint was created in 1854 to cater for the California Gold Rush. The current Mint buildings have been used since 1937. Mint mark is 'S'.
  • West Point Mint Facility, New York. Founded in 1792.  Mintmark is 'W'.
In the past the US Mint has also used Carson City ('CC') and New Orleans ('O').
