AR Denarius of Emperor Pertinax minted at the Rome Mint in 193AD. Pertinax was the first emperor during the Year of the Five Emperors.

Diameter 18mm, weighs 3.37g.

The Obverse shows the laureated head of Emperor Pertinax facing right.

The Reverse shows the Goddess Laetitia standing left, holding a wreath and a sceptre. Laetitia was a minor Roman Goddess of gaiety, happiness, luck, prosperity.

RIC IV 4a; RSC 20. Lightly toned. VF.
