Edge is reeded.

Reverse is a perched eagle. Legend is "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" with text "E PLURIBUS UNUM" and "IN GOD WE TRUST". Denomination below in text "FIVE DOLLARS". Mint mark (if present) is to the left of the perch. No mint mark indicates Philadelphia Mint.
