1905 Gold Sovereign Sydney

The 1905 Gold Sovereign - Sydney

King Edward VII Gold Sovereign minted at the Sydney Mint, Australia. A small 'S' above the date indicates the Sydney Mint.

Benedetto Pistrucci’s famous portrayal of St. George slaying the dragon is depicted on the reverse of the coin.

The Obverse shows a portrait of King Edward VII. The engravers initials (just below the head) are "De S" denoting George William De Saulles (1862-1903).
