Edge inscribed "DECUS ET TUTAMEN" (An ornament and a safeguard) with the Regnal date: "ANNO REGNI LXI" or "ANNO REGNI LXII" representing the 61st or 62nd year of Victoria's reign. The LXI is slighty more valuable.Die axis ^^.
