Claudia Taylor "Lady Bird" Johnson was the wife the 36th President Lyndon B. Johnson. The coin was issued in 2015.

Lady Bird Johnson was born Claudia Alta Taylor in Karnack, Texas on December 22, 1912. Mrs Johnson was well educated and successful as an investor and a manager. She was an advocate of making America beautiful. The Highway Beautification Act was informally known as "Lady Bird's Bill". She died on July 11, 2007, aged 94.

The Obverse, designed by Linda L. Fox, shows a portrait of Lady Bird Johnson.

The Reverse, designed by Chris Costello (Artistic Infusion Program), shows the Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument and flowers in reference to Mrs. Johnson's efforts in the beautification and conservation of America.

Where the President does not have a spouse, then an image of Liberty from that time period is used on the Obverse. Images from the life of the Presidential term are used on the Reverse.

The program started in 2007. Each coin is ½oz of 0.999 gold and available as a bullion or as a Proof coin. They were minted at the West Point Mint.
