Eleanor Roosevelt was the wife of 32nd President, Franklin D. Roosevelt. This coin was released in 2014.

Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was born on 11 October 1884 in New York City. She is the longest serving First Lady. She died 7 November 1962, aged 78.

The Reverse shows Mrs Roosevelt’s hand lighting a candle, symbolizing the global impact of her life works on humanitarian initiatives. Sculptor: Phebe Hemphill, Designer: Chris Costello.

The program started in 2007. Each coin is ½oz of 0.999 gold and available as a bullion or as a Proof coin. They were minted at the West Point Mint.
